Cassis martini with pineapple juice

When it comes to cocktails, we love experimenting with a classic recipe and putting a spin on it. One such cocktail that has captured our attention is the French Martini.  The original recipe is made with raspberry liqueur, but we decided to take it up a notch by introducing a special ingredient: the vibrant and tangy flavors of black currant. We had a version of this at one of our favorite restaurants and we knew we had to figure out how to make a version of this amazing drink at home!

An elegant cocktail reimagined: The classic French Martini is a delightful fusion of vodka, fresh pineapple juice, and a raspberry liqueur like Chambord liqueur. It has a unique balance of sweetness and tartness that appeals to many palates and has a lot of flavor. However, by substituting the raspberry liqueur with black currant liqueur or creme de cassis, the cocktail is infused with a new layer of complexity and sophistication.  Be sure to garnish with a twist of lemon peel to add the aromatics that really make this a sophisticated cocktail.

I also have a friend who said she tried this with gin instead of vodka and loved it!  This is currently one of our favorite martini recipes and I hope you try this refreshing cocktail in your own home.
