Usually, if I have my choice between a chocolate chip cookie and an oatmeal cookie, I reach for the chocolate chip cookie every time. Let’s be honest, if I’m eating something sweet it’s probably something chocolate. Life can be challenging and chocolate makes it a little more fun!
In my twenties, I used to go to a tea shop that had the best oatmeal cookies and it completely changed my view of what an oatmeal cookie could be! The chewy oatmeal cookies were huge, filled with oats, and had a hint of salt. They were so delicious and I knew I had to figure out how to make my own version.
