How to Roast Garlic in Aluminum Foil in the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350º F.
- Slice the top end off of the garlic bulb about 1/4 inch. Place on a small sheet of aluminum foil.
- Drizzle with about a tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle on a pinch of salt and pepper. Fold the aluminum foil to form a packet and place it in the oven directly on the rack for one hour.
- Remove from the oven and allow to sit for 3-5 minutes to cool a little. Then, remove the garlic bulb from the foil packet. Give the garlic bulb a gentle squeeze at the root end to remove garlic cloves from the bulb.
